Welcome to a new year

WELCOME to a new year! I hope it will be a good one for all of us.

2017 is more than a new year, however. Much of what you see and hear about it will focus on the political ramifications. This includes who wins; who loses, and how that might change in the next election.

I've written political commentary for over twenty years. I no longer believe that the political realm is adequate to explain what we have experienced in the 2016 presidential election in America. In fact, the political realm isn't adequate to explain Brexit and the crumbling European Union, or the wave of political corruption being exposed and prosecuted by new governments in South America.

No, what's happening is bigger, still. It is worldwide in scope.

This quote from the Bible has haunted me for many years; long before I began the current novel series:

40 And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth everything, and as iron that breaketh all these, so shall it break in pieces and bruise.

41 And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potter's clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay.

42 And [as] the toes of the feet were part of iron and part of clay, the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile.

43 And whereas thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men; but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron doth not mingle with clay. (Daniel 2 DARBY)

That's a very old passage of scripture. Would it be insane to believe that we are living among the feet and toes of the final human kingdom on this world?

My interpretation, and the Armageddon Story novel series of books, aren't based on the traditional thinking that assigns various nations to the iron and clay. My interpretation is much more literal. Verse 43, above, is the key.

Now, just a bit of blog housekeeping.

My posts tend to focus on less-noticed news stories that are going to affect our future—and the remaining books in this series. Any links you will find here are listed because I found them interesting or valuable; not because I necessarily agree with what was written. Novel authors are hard to pigeonhole. In part, that is because we live 24/7 with people you have never met—unless you've read our books.

Welcome aboard the 2017 Express. The shockwaves have only begun!
